Rides for Five: Animal Kingdom

This is the last in my series of posts about Disney World rides that work well for parties of five. At Animal Kingdom, this includes:

Kilimanjaro Safaris: This ride involves safari “trucks” with bench seating. All five of us fit comfortably in one row.

Kali River Rapids: The big, round raft seats 8 people, so we all fit just fine.

Expedition Everest: You can only fit two people per row, but there are plenty of rows per ride vehicle, so we can do a 2-2-1 configuration.

Dinosaur: Four people per row, 3 rows per vehicle. We won’t all fit in one row, but at least we’ll be in the same “time rover.”

The other rides at Animal Kingdom only fit 4 people per ride vehicle, leaving an odd man out. However, as I’ve mentioned before, we never let that stop us from going on our rides of choice – we simply find a way to make it work!

  1. My family is five people as well and we always had a hard time navigating the parks in one large group. I think that this is probably a common problems. We usually resorted to splitting up, which worked because we all had very different interests. I think it is great that you are providing helpful information for large families!
