Disney Classic: Carousel of Progress

The first time we took our boys to Disney World, they were completely disinterested in having anything to do with the Carousel of Progress. The second time we took them, my parents were also along for the trip. Grandma Susie was so excited to go on her beloved Carousel of Progress that the boys acquiesced. Lo and behold, they loved it in all its cheesy glory! Now it’s one of our family favorites, something we do multiple times on each trip.

This entertaining attraction, which is more a show than a ride, gives you a glimpse of how technology progressed during the 20th century. It was originally conceived by Walt for the 1964-65 World’s Fair. By the time you leave the rotating theater, you’ll be humming “Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” and loving it!
