Having fun with ride photos!

One of the awesomest things about Memory Maker is that it comes with all of your ride photos. Rather than paying $15 – $20 a pop, you get all of them as part of the photo package. This allows you to let loose and get a little, um, creative with your ride photos (once you figure out where the camera is). We took full advantage of this on our last family trip to Disney World.

It seems like every year, we have some sort of theme or inspiration for our Disney pictures. This theme is usually both random and silly. During 2013’s Disney trip, our theme for photos was “the Sheldon smile.”

For comparison purposes, here is 2013's theme: the Sheldon smile.

Here's an example of the boys doing their Sheldon smiles (2013).

For 2014’s Disney trip (the first time we purchased the Memory Maker photo package), our picture theme was “the Shane.”

Our goal, sprung from a moment of random inspiration (as the best traditions are) became to “Shane” in as many ride photos as possible. Here are a few examples:

The boys did pretty darn good on their first Shane.

My first attempt at Shaning left a lot to be desired.

My husband had the presence of mind to Shane on Buzz Lightyear.

After all that Shaning, we were plum tuckered out. We needed a quick nap:

Of course, there was still time left in the trip for a couple more Shanes…

Playing around with ride photos sure added to the fun! Do you have a good ride photo story? I’d love to hear it!

  1. My family went on Tower of Terror and the picture was taken at the moment of drop. You can tell this because my hair is in the air. My mom screamed, I braced myself, my sister threw her hands in the air….and my dad twiddled his thumbs and looked completely bored.

    Perfect.
